OPI LIQUID SAND 'THE IMPOSSIBLE' (LIMITED EDITION MARIAH CAREY) REVIEW

Whenever I think about Mariah Carey, the first thing that comes into my mind is DIVA. So its really no surprise that OPI gives her a line that's called "Liquid Sand". This is a new variant from OPI which I believe would be coming out more in their collections.

PROSTYLE FUWARIE END CURLING MIST REVIEW

I've been looking for an inexpensive heat protectant product, and luckily I stumbled upon the Prostyle Fuwarie End Curling Mist while strolling around Beauty Bar!

Korea Post #3: (Must-See Places!) Nami Island

ll be sharing about our trip to Nami Island, which is located outside of Seoul. We had to take a train (different from the subway system, sorry but I forgot the place where we took this, but its the nearest train station from Myeongdong).

MAJOLICA MAJORCA LASH and BROW COLORIST REVIEW

Having dark brows and light hair has always been a problem for me. I have always tried to put a little hair dye on my brows (which I do NOT recommend for anyone to do because this may cause severe skin irritation OR burn your skin) to lighten them up, but it hasn't worked.

ETUDE HOUSE BUBBLE HAIR COLORING IN SWEET ORANGE REVIEW

I finally tried the Sweet Orange shade of the Etude House Bubble Hair Coloring! Its a brighter shade compared to the Natural Brown, and makes your hair tons lighter.

Beauty Blender is now available at PCX!

Are you guys familiar with the Beauty Blender? It basically looks like this:
And it has been awarded in Allure's Reader's Choice Awards!
But its basically just a make-up sponge that retails for over P1,000!!! Seriously, I am not kidding.
Most beauty gurus have expressed their amazement for this tiny pink thing. Unfortunately its not available locally until now. I saw it being sold in PCX in Powerplant Mall a few weeks back. I was soooo tempted to get my hands on one, but its just too heavy on the pocket!

You can buy it alone (top) or as a starter kit (contains a blender cleanser as well, costs around P2,000):

This sponge is pretty small and actually promises you that your foundation application will be extremely flawless and gives an HD effect. Wow I tempted myself, haha! I'll probably ask this as a birthday present when September comes around.

For your benefit, here's a video on the pros and cons of the Beauty Blender:

Have you guys tried using this?

Tony Moly Black Gel Liner and Missha The Style Pore Minimizing First Base Review

When I went to Korea, these were the first 2 products I sought after. Yes these were the ones! Not a BB cream, nor a skincare product. Its because I remembered a make-up guru I super duper love (Catalina aka cl2425, you can view her blog HERE) always used these and it just occurred to me that I HAD TO HAVE IT.
So I've had these ever since April and now I can review them without all biases whatsoever.

TOP: MISSHA The Style Pore Minimizng First Base; BOTTOM: Tony Moly Gel

Let's start with the Tony Moly gel liner.
I am IN LOVE with this gel liner! Anyone who knows me well can tell you that I can never go out without eyeliner. I feel so naked without it!
Whoops, pardon the dirty insides girls, I've been using this almost everyday. But then again if you noticed I haven't even reached the middle of the pot. I was berating myself because I didn't stock up on these babies but then again it looks like it will take me a while to finish it.
Look at how pigmented the black is! What's so wonderful about Tony Moly's gel liners is that they're so CHEAP. I think I bought this for 3,000 won or roughly around P120.
Sadly Tony Moly isn't available here in the Philippines but if you're interested in purchasing some for yourself you can try purchasing it from Lizz Buenaventura here. Although I think it's already sold out.

Next up is the Missha Pore Minimizing First Base.
I'm not a big fan of make-up bases, I honestly think that they're a waste of time putting on and the moment I buy one, I tend to forget using it because I feel like I pile too much gunk on my face. But then again I saw the same make-up guru using this on her videos and it seriously transforms her skin so I thought I should try it as well.

Its not captured by the camera, but the texture of the primer is just like a lotion and once it gets absorbed to your skin, it has shimmers, which I'm not a big fan of. I don't use this everyday, but I do use it before putting on BB cream because I found out that it lessens the gray cast the former produces when you initially apply it.
I bought this for only around 4,000 won, which is around P150. Pretty cheap considering its already make-up base!
I'm not so sure if there's a local reseller of this product, if you guys know post a comment so we can inform everyone!
ERRATA: I now remember who sells this! I totally forgot that Missha already has a branch here! I remember I saw this being sold at the SM Annex and its around P300.

Anyway that's it for now, I'm going to take a brief hiatus from posting entries since my midterms are coming up. Please pray for me guys!^^

Charice Gets Her Face Done for 'Glee'

I can't believe they actually disclosed this.

Okay I'm not going to be a hypocrite and say that I totally condone cosmetic surgery. I even asked my mom to pay for my nose job if I pass the Bar (yes that's what I asked for, not a car, nor a house, I just want my nose fixed!).

I mean I know there was a time that Charice looked pretty unfortunate compared to the celebrities we have here, but hasn't that been fixed with great make-up and a stylist?
She has already gone from this:
 to this:
Is her face something that really can't be remedied by a few strokes of some bronzer and a highlighter? Dr. Vicky Belo apparently thinks not. Her face can be a little chunky, but she's only 18. I honestly don't think her face has developed into its full potential and has to be worked on.

Orchard Road @ Megamall: A Place to Stay Away From

I have to admit I honestly went to SM Megamall yesterday to go on retail therapy in the newly-opened Forever21. Before I got to the store, I passed by this new resto named Orchard Road which they derived from the hawker place in Singapore.

I was too disappointed with the experience to even take pictures. It was just one big disappointment right in my face. I expected that it would be similar to the food in Manila Ocean Park's Asian resto, but NO.
First of all, they give you this checklist of food you want to order. = going well so far

We paid our bill -- ginormous at around P700 but we expected this was going to be a nice experience.
Then we waited...and waited....and waited...food started to arrive but the beef teriyaki came to us an HOUR after! Everyone already had their complete orders EXCEPT us.

Buti sana if the food tasted so good you could forget the waiting---I don't think so! Here was what we ordered:
- Pork Char Siew on plain rice: boyfriend said it was nothing special. He didn't even finish his food which is rare.
- Fishball Noodle Soup: puwede na but there were 4 fish balls.
- Oyster Omelette: or should I say, scramble egg where they just tossed the pieces of oysters on the egg??
- Beef Teriyaki on garlic rice: OH GOD WHERE DO I BEGIN? First it took so long for me to get it, second it tasted really bland, third, it wasn't even warm when it arrived, and fourth it just tasted blah.
- Teh-C (milk tea): tasted nothing like milk tea
- Kopi Tarik: best out of everything. But then again this arrived first so it's goodness was canceled after we waited it out.

When I kept updating my order if it was ready, the cashiers gave me blank stares and then fumbled around looking for my order. I had a suspicious feeling they forgot it but they said the usual, "Ma'am palabas na." The "palabas na" took 40 minutes to come out.
It's very rare for me to hate restaurants but there's always a first time for everything. I do not want to go back to this place ever again!

Miss A: A Girl Group to Watch Out For!,

JYP Entertainment recently debuted this girl group whom I have been loving:

Here's their newest MV:

Their name is Miss A, and the girl group is composed of Wang Fei Fei (페이) ; Meng Jia (지아) ; Min (민) ; Suzy Bae (수지). Fei and Jia are Chinese and the rest are Korean. Their debut single is entitled "Bad but Good". Yay girl power!
I think their song is pretty catchy and they look so fierce!
I'm looking forward to hearing more great songs from them.

Affordable Pink Lip Color: Maybelline Color Sensational Moisture Extreme Lipstick Review

I have had this lipstick for over a month now and it just hit me--why haven't I blogged about it yet?
I do love love this lipstick, its not often I find a lipstick I love. I think I've already emphasized the sad fact that my lips are overly red and I can't wear that many shades. I usually have to content myself with neutral shades or corals. Its sad, right?

Not anymore! Maybelline gave me the right answer by releasing so many shades of colors courtesy of their Color Sensational Moisture Extreme Lipstick Line. There are 4 shades to choose from: PINKS, NATURALS, PLUMS and REDS. I chose to go with a pink, particularly the P31, or the Bonbon Pink.

Totally obvious that this has been in my lippy stash all this time! Sorry for the sad photo guys.

"Due to a new, innovative color dispersion system, the color seen on a Color Sensational lipstick bullet is what will transfer on the lips. Color Sensational's pigments are dispersed in a patented polymer and emollient blend. This blend saturates the pigment and allows the color to bloom, creating a lipstick that feels soft on the lips was found to be the second most important lipstick trait. Color Sensational formulas address this concern by adding honey nectar. "
Swiped on the hand twice: (which I seriously hate because this color is NOT the one going on your lips anyway)
As you can see, it has a bit of silver shimmers, but nothing too flashy to turn you off.

What I really like about is that it doesn't clash with my ultra-chapped lips and its wearable for daily use. No need to tone done the eyeliner when worn! The pink also goes well with my skintone. Not so sure if this would work well with morenas.

See how dark the pink gets when I apply it? Make sure to test the lip color on your lips before you buy!!!

Only P299.00 in any Maybelline counter! I suggest get one of each shade to make the most out of the collection.^^
