OPI LIQUID SAND 'THE IMPOSSIBLE' (LIMITED EDITION MARIAH CAREY) REVIEW

Whenever I think about Mariah Carey, the first thing that comes into my mind is DIVA. So its really no surprise that OPI gives her a line that's called "Liquid Sand". This is a new variant from OPI which I believe would be coming out more in their collections.

PROSTYLE FUWARIE END CURLING MIST REVIEW

I've been looking for an inexpensive heat protectant product, and luckily I stumbled upon the Prostyle Fuwarie End Curling Mist while strolling around Beauty Bar!

Korea Post #3: (Must-See Places!) Nami Island

ll be sharing about our trip to Nami Island, which is located outside of Seoul. We had to take a train (different from the subway system, sorry but I forgot the place where we took this, but its the nearest train station from Myeongdong).

MAJOLICA MAJORCA LASH and BROW COLORIST REVIEW

Having dark brows and light hair has always been a problem for me. I have always tried to put a little hair dye on my brows (which I do NOT recommend for anyone to do because this may cause severe skin irritation OR burn your skin) to lighten them up, but it hasn't worked.

ETUDE HOUSE BUBBLE HAIR COLORING IN SWEET ORANGE REVIEW

I finally tried the Sweet Orange shade of the Etude House Bubble Hair Coloring! Its a brighter shade compared to the Natural Brown, and makes your hair tons lighter.

GMarket: Touched for the Very First Time!

Since it's the long weekend and I wanted to distract myself from the sadness that Ticketworld is not selling moshpit tickets anymore for Rain's concert on Sept. 11, I spent the hot afternoon scouring GMarket and finally ordering something:

1) Rain lightstick! (8,800 won)

My sister and I felt that we deeply needed these lightsticks in order to commemorate the concert that's about to happen. Hopefully this reaches our house before the event itself!

2) Hera HD Foundation in 21 (28,300 won)
I have heard so many good things about this foundation, its apparently the leading HD foundation in Korea right now (like in the US its MUFE, but for Korea it has to be Hera). This is a bit expensive than most Korean brands because its on the high-end side and I really took a chance with the shade, 21 as the medium fair.

From all the reviews I've read, GMarket takes really quickly for the orders to arrive, around 6-7 days and its already at your doorstep! But learning how to order can take quite some time as compared to YesAsia because of the language barrier. Although there's an English version of the site, you'll need a website translator on hand so be careful!

I'll keep you guys updated when my package arrives and then I'll write a step-by-step tutorial on how to order.

Etude House Lucid Darling Fantastic Rouge Review

This is one of my most favorite lipsticks I have bought so far--I'm on a pink craze (straight out of my salmon craze) which is why I bought this in pink. This is Etude House's Lucidarling Fantastic Rouge.
They have 10 colors all in all, I really want to try #1 and #4, the latter is allegedly their bestseller.
What the box says:
Makeup Line promotes LED (Light Emitting Diode) color, radiance and clarity to makeup expression.
Lipstick formulated with LED Pixel Pigment for brilliant expression and shine.

Here's how the packaging looks like:
I'm not really feeling the brown-ness of it all, but the real test for me is definitely the color pay-off and whether its long-lasting. The tip is slanted, which I prefer than pointy ones. I got the #5 shade which looks like a dupe of the Gaga lippie.
Plus I swatched this on my hand. The top is the Lucidarling while the bottom was my former go-to pink lipstick from Maybelline Color Sensational Moisture Extreme which I reviewed here.

And now on my lips:
It's a matte pink and contains no shimmers, which I definitely go for.
Color pay-off is great but not that long-lasting. I wore this to a party and after drinking anything I have to swipe the color back on again.

Etude House LUCIDarling Fantastic Rouge is priced at Php478.00.

Etude House Proof 10 Eye Primer Review

Hi guys! I come bearing 2 reviews this time around since I just got myself a huge Etude House haul last week. So without further ado, here's the 1st one:

The Etude House Proof 10 Eye Primer has caught my eye awhile back when I was looking for a nicer eye primer. I've read in many blogs that this is a nice replacement for the Urban Decay Primer Potion (also costs a lot less and is available locally). This particular eye primer promises to give 24 HOURS staying power!

What does an eye primer do?
It helps maintain your eyeshadows longer. It also makes the colors more vibrant and keeps it in place.

You basically have to apply it all over your eyelids with the wand applicator. This actually makes my eyelids oilier, if that was even possible.

And...the effect! I was very amazed at how vivid my eyeshadow becomes when layered on top. Just compare the shade on the left to the one on the right and see the difference. I also find that my eyeshadow lasts the whole day (though I haven't tried the 24-hrs thing), it's still there when I come home, unlike when I didn't put on any eye primer.

Eye primer costs P298.00 at Etude House in SM Megamall.

Other things I bought at Etude House:
A close-up of the lashes:
I'm not a huge fan of the glue that comes with this. Its already sticky and hard to put on the lashes. When I also wore these, a few minutes in the car and the left eyelash was coming off!
The lashes are also not that noticeable when you put them on without mascara. These have a dolly-like effect.

Black Head Remover Dual Sheet costs P75.00 while the falsies costs P128.00.

Venus Raj was almost there...

After the Quirino hostage crisis, wasn't it kind of coincidental that Venus Raj was competing in Miss Universe?
I was unable to watch the whole show, but saw in the news that she reached 5th place, which I think is something to be proud of. She definitely took a lot of Filipinos' minds away from the tragedy that occurred and showed that in the midst of bad news, there can still be good news and life would still go on.

Now without further ado, I bring you the video that led to her downfall:

Sinong na-excite??? Siyaaaaa!!! Hahaha although I think it was her nerves that took over her entire answer.

Beauty & Butter: A Modern Way to Get Pampered!

Beauty & Butter first caught my eye when I saw their unique billboard in Guadalupe along EDSA (you see how influential billboards to me are?) featuring 3 women in raincoats and umbrellas against a bright yellow background. I think it has been established that women find it very therapeutic to get their nails done when they have a bad day.

What they say about themselves:
Beauty & Butter is the newest and trendiest one-stop pampering destination to hit the Metropolis. Offering the ultimate in self-expression by way of beautification, services include instant gratification via foot spas, paraffin treatments, customizable nail art, instant-facials and hair removal.
Bedecked in graphics reminiscent of Alice in Wonderland meets pop art, the interiors are both posh and comforting at the same time. Boasting 92 possible nail colors, complimentary movies and funkily dressed nail and beauty technicians, Beauty & Butter is the ultimate for the young and the young at heart!

KOOLFEVER: A Super Gem Find!

I know I keep raving about some cool cheap stuff I see that's so good for everyday use that I wanted to open up a section here in the blog about SUPER GEM FINDS! Super gem finds are just that--products I see around which prove to be incredibly useful and helpful to me. And by sharing them with you guys, hopefully you also find them as great as I do.

My first SUPER GEM FIND is Kobayashi Kool Fever, which is a cooling gel sheet that's imported from Japan. Our lovely Japanese neighbors thought up of this not only for those who have fever or headaches, but also for those who feel sleepless, have toothaches, or feel discomfort from too much warmth in the body.

Products I'm Trying Now: AKA Products You'll Be Expecting a Review About

Hi everyone! I know I've been MIA lately and I AM SO SORRY! Midterms were so tough, I felt like I was going to die, but now its all over so I can finally update this thing and keep you guys posted on what reviews I'll be making soon.

I'm really excited about this next batch because there are so many new things out there that I just want to try them all! Siiigh, if only money was not an option, but of course I just chose the few things that caught my eye and tried as much as possible to BUY FILIPINO!
So here are the newly-bought products:

1) Pond's Pure White Deep Cleansing Facial Foam
