OPI LIQUID SAND 'THE IMPOSSIBLE' (LIMITED EDITION MARIAH CAREY) REVIEW

Whenever I think about Mariah Carey, the first thing that comes into my mind is DIVA. So its really no surprise that OPI gives her a line that's called "Liquid Sand". This is a new variant from OPI which I believe would be coming out more in their collections.

PROSTYLE FUWARIE END CURLING MIST REVIEW

I've been looking for an inexpensive heat protectant product, and luckily I stumbled upon the Prostyle Fuwarie End Curling Mist while strolling around Beauty Bar!

Korea Post #3: (Must-See Places!) Nami Island

ll be sharing about our trip to Nami Island, which is located outside of Seoul. We had to take a train (different from the subway system, sorry but I forgot the place where we took this, but its the nearest train station from Myeongdong).

MAJOLICA MAJORCA LASH and BROW COLORIST REVIEW

Having dark brows and light hair has always been a problem for me. I have always tried to put a little hair dye on my brows (which I do NOT recommend for anyone to do because this may cause severe skin irritation OR burn your skin) to lighten them up, but it hasn't worked.

ETUDE HOUSE BUBBLE HAIR COLORING IN SWEET ORANGE REVIEW

I finally tried the Sweet Orange shade of the Etude House Bubble Hair Coloring! Its a brighter shade compared to the Natural Brown, and makes your hair tons lighter.

I got the shade called "The Impossible" (so arte hahaha), which is a sandy-textured bright red with flecks of dots and stars. On the bottle its so RED. I only have 1 red nail polish also from OPI and I thought it was high time I buy another.

I just love how OPI names their shades! It definitely makes picking out colors more fun.

When applied, its not at all red. It comes off very very light, and I used 3 coats to get it to this color. Then again, its more of a glittery hot pink. Not really the color I expected to come out, but I have to say the color and texture was very interesting.

When you touch it, it actually feels like sand art. Remember when those were a thing?

Its very pretty when on your nails, suits my skin tone well (makes your fingers look cleaner), and its something different. I do recommend that you try this even once if you like glittery polish. The color isn't that crazy that its too eye-catching, but the sparkles do give it a more special feel.

OPI Liquid Sand 'The Impossible' is available through Digital Traincase for only Php 420.00.

China Glaze Hunger Games Colors from the Capitol Stone Cold and Riveting Review

I have to admit that I am totally obsessed with The Hunger Games: the books as well as the film has made me go more gaga for it than Harry Potter! So its really no surprise that I would grab some polishes from the China Glaze Colors from the Capitol Collection.

Plus the person endorsing it is Effie Trinket, one of my most favorite characters! I was also ecstatic about this collection because China Glaze is right up there as my most beloved nail colors--because they churn out such fantastic and fascinating shades.

There are 12 polishes all in all, representing each district's product.

The 2 colors we got was Stone Cold (District 2 for Masonry) and Riveting (District 3 for Technology). I wanted to get Electrify (District 5 for Power) but they were currently out of stock at my favorite online shopping place, Digital Traincase.

I chose Stone Cold because all the online reviews raved on how different the polish was, and I do love it when a polish brings something new to the table!

Stone Cold though is very tricky to apply, since it dries with a matte finish. You have to quickly paint the entire nail before it dries up. But I am IN LOVE with the effect. As I said, its very very matte, with small silver glitters that are subdued when not under a light but come out a bit sparkling when it is.

Below, you can see how imperfect I did my nails, because it is really hard to get the right amount of coats on each nail!

But because I am so in love with the effect, its all okay for me and I will keep on trying until I perfect it! I do advise that you use 2 coats, allowing the 1st coat to dry completely then quickly adding on the second coat. 2 coats is also advisable because the polish tends to chip fast when you're doing ordinary tasks.

The matte effect disappears though if you apply a clear top coat, so if you want a different feel of the polish, just apply some!

My sister chose Riveting, as it had the whole "girl on fire" effect! Its a very very pretty red orange with small gold glitters. It has a glossy finish and is easy to apply!

The consistency of the polish after its applied appears to be jelly-like. Its a gorgeous color for summer and makes your fingers appear fairer.

China Glaze's Hunger Games Colors from the Capitol can be purchased online through Digital Traincase, at P360.00 each here. I think they're having another order delivered soon so do check back from time to time if the rest of the polishes would be available!

Tony Moly Nail Polish AM05 Review

Continuing with the influx of Tony Moly products (guess you guys know where I "invested" my Christmas money on), I decided to try their nail polish which has been sporting some gorgeous holiday colors!

This one here has a very shiny gun metal gray color which I adored on the bottle! The shade is in AM05 if you're interested in purchasing it as well.

I like how Tony Moly uses the sticker as a guarantee that the nail polish bottle has never been opened. Three cheers for hygiene and beyond!

What Tony Moly says:

Shimmery metallic nail color with fine sparkling particles. Long wearing and pigmented.

And now on my nails:
LOL please forgive the sad nail polish application, I just swatched it on my right hand!

I used two coats of the polish to achieve the above shade. The color is dark when the light doesn't hit it. The color in the bottle is also pretty sparkly--but not on the nails. After about five days, the color also starts to wear off, and if you want the polish to stay, just re-apply a single coat to each nail.

The Tony Moly Nail Polish AM05 is available at any Tony Moly store and at SM Department Stores for only P158.00!

Etude House Miss Tangerine Petit Darling Nails Kit Review

I find the new Etude House Miss Tangerine line (with Dara as the endorser) absolutely cute. When I got the chance to visit the store, I wasted no time swatching all the products in the line and I was really tempted to get the blusher. But I restrained myself because I do have similar shades of the looks so I could just imitate them.

But I just had to buy the Miss Tangerine Petit Darling Nails Kit:

What Etude House says:
A trio of carefully chosen nail polishes that creates lovely Tangerine gradation nail art in three easy steps.
[Product Lineup]
1. Tangerine Pink Nail Color
2. Sparkling Tangerine Nail Coat
3. Bling Bling Tangerine Pearl Coat
[Directions] 1. Apply #1 to nails, covering entire nail surface. 2. Allow nails to partly dry then apply #2 to nails from the midnail line to the tip. 3 Allow coats #1 and #2 to partly dry then apply #3 just along the nail tips.
First off, I want to say that I know nothing about nail art but because I want to try doing something different to my nails, I bought these. So here are the polishes up close:
The one on the left is my own Petit Darling clear polish which I also used for my nails for the top coat.

As the directions said, you first apply the Tangerine Pink Nail Color all over your nails:
I used 2 coats, because the color is pretty light.

Then after waiting for it to partly dry, apply the Sparkling Tangerine Pearl Coat from the middle of your nail all the way to the tip:
Only used 1 coat because we're topping it off with more shimmers.

Finally, after both coats are partly dry, apply the Bling Bling Tangerine Pearl Coat to your tips (think french tip!).
I extended it over the tips because I loved the way the colors blended together.

And now the finished product:

The Etude House Miss Tangerine Petit Darling Nails Kit is perfect for anyone who wants to wear a bit of tangerine in their lives but isn't sure if it would match well with their skin tone. The effect is also pretty subtle and isn't overpowering at all. Its also great for anyone like me who's a total noob when it comes to nail art.

Etude House Miss Tangerine Petit Darling Nails Kit is available at any Etude House store (SM The Block North Edsa or Megamall) for only P328.00.
