Whenever I think about Mariah Carey, the first thing that comes into my mind is DIVA. So its really no surprise that OPI gives her a line that's called "Liquid Sand". This is a new variant from OPI which I believe would be coming out more in their collections.

I've been looking for an inexpensive heat protectant product, and luckily I stumbled upon the Prostyle Fuwarie End Curling Mist while strolling around Beauty Bar!

Korea Post #3: (Must-See Places!) Nami Island

ll be sharing about our trip to Nami Island, which is located outside of Seoul. We had to take a train (different from the subway system, sorry but I forgot the place where we took this, but its the nearest train station from Myeongdong).

Having dark brows and light hair has always been a problem for me. I have always tried to put a little hair dye on my brows (which I do NOT recommend for anyone to do because this may cause severe skin irritation OR burn your skin) to lighten them up, but it hasn't worked.

I finally tried the Sweet Orange shade of the Etude House Bubble Hair Coloring! Its a brighter shade compared to the Natural Brown, and makes your hair tons lighter.

Park Han Byul's Tropical Fruity Nails!

I have to admit that even though I am totally addicted to k-pop, I only like a few Korean dramas. But I have to say that if  I LIKE a Korean drama, I am IN LOVE with it. I don't know, something about it being especially thought-out, and not relying on numerous cheap make-out scenes and just on the plot and the artists involved makes me like watching it.

One of those dramas that I have truly loved and cherished is Oh! My Lady, which stars Choi Si Won (from Super Junior) and Chae Rim (Dalja's Spring). As a tribute to its final episode, I will be copying the nails of one of the characters, Hong Yura, who is played by Park Han Byul (infamously known as Se7en's girlfriend):

Ugh, I couldn't find an exact screencap of her with those nails, so I guess this would have to do.I thought her nails were the cutest! Here's what you need:

A bright yellow and pink nail color will do. These are part of my old stock of nail polishes. This look doesn't need that much effort. Just paint your middle finger and your ring finger yellow and the other remaining nails the pink. Yup, that's it!

These are the nail colors I used, namely LA Colors' FUEL and Elianto's SUNNY DAY. The Fuel goes on right about 2 strokes, but you have to layer in a lot of strokes for Sunny Day since its a bit on the light side. But if you're using a matte yellow, then just adjust it until you get the right shade.

Well that's it! I thought this was a fun look for the nails just because summer's ending and most of us will be hauling ourselves back to school again. Have a happy final days of summer!^^

Korea Post #1: K-pop CDs and Posters! (SNSD, 2AM and Rain)

Annyeooong everyone! Okay since internship ended for me last Friday, I'll be starting my Korean trip entries. I postponed doing this because its going to be lengthy plus FULL of pictures. If you guys remember, I went to Korea for my parents' 25th wedding anniversary and just literally fell in love with Seoul and everything in it. The food, the culture, the people...and of course, the music!

Anyone who knows me can easily tell you that I'm a HUGE k-pop fan, especially of Big Bang, 2NE1, SNSD (Girls' Generation), 2AM, MBLAQ and Rain. The entry that has the most comments here in my blog is my YesAsia order which a lot of you were pretty interested in. So I thought my first entry should contain the albums I bought while I was there (don't worry make-up lovers, the beauty haul is coming up!).
Okay, before I start foaming at the mouth at the incredible deals I got, well when I was there, Rain just made his comeback and SNSD had started promoted Run Devil Run. 2AM was also doing their goodbye stages for I Did Wrong. These 3 artists were whose albums I bought: (btw I got all 3 albums in this music store underground in the Myeong-dong shopping area.)
(clockwise fr left: Run Devil Run by SNSD, I Did Wrong by 2AM, and Back to the Basic by Rain (Bi))

SunCoast's Lightwater: Flavorless Water with the Goodies?

I was browsing the nearest 7-11 to my office this morning and was about to reach for my usual Vitwater Trim, when THIS bottle caught my eye.

This is SunCoast's Light Water. Yes just in case you are wondering, its a local brand. For only Php23, I thought it was a considerably large bottle (650ml) and so I bought it.

Taste? Nothing special. Its basically water with cute packaging. But as the back of its bottle says, they packed the water with electrolytes such as potassium, magnesium and calcium, removing the sodium (aka salt) while they were at it. The bottle also says that it would improve your skin tone (nothing about slimming effects though...siiiiigh) and would deeply hydrate your body.

I've always wondered what the big deal was with these water drinks and ordinary water. I mean I'm always content drinking just water, I'm not the type who needs flavor for water. I MEAN IT'S WATER! WHAT ELSE DO YOU HAVE TO DO TO IT?

But from the reviews I've read, I've heard that this helps cure hydration problems so we'll see! Since its priced just like water, there's no harm in trying it out, right? I've only drank around half of the bottle and its okay. Compared to Vitwater which still feels a bit like juice, this is definitely water. So for those who like water that tastes like water but has vitamins, take a gulp of this instead.

Did You Catch the Evening Star?

If you were looking outside last night, you probably did see the smiling moon with a lone star above it. My sister and I were walking around our village and we saw it! She said it was Venus, because it wasn't twinkling at all. And she was right!

Turns out that it is the planet Venus, known as the evening star because it is seen after the sun has set. Its known as the morning star when you see it before the sun rises. It was a beautiful sight to behold, and its too bad if you missed seeing it live.

Side note: Guys I know I've been lacking on the posts, but I will update soon especially about my trip to Korea which some have been e-mailing me about. Please wait for me and I'll update as soon as I can, its just been a busy summer for me because I'm doing my internship.^^

Its Time to Exercise Your Right to Vote!

Good morning! Have you exercised your right to vote?

Brave the long lines and the scorching heat just for today because you and I know that our country is in great need of our vote. Even though as a country we've experienced so many hardships in the political sphere, let's keep in mind that change is never too late!

If you're for the orange,  yellow, blue, green or any other color, pray for peaceful elections, be vigilant and keep the faith that as a nation, we are united in spirit in hoping for this dynamic change.

Just some reminders for our Filipino voters, remember to check the party-list you are voting for is not a fake party under GMA's flag. And if you are choosing a party-list, remember to vote for a sector that really needs representation, not those who are already rightly represented.

Last but not least, be patient and guard your vote. Wear neutral colors to your precinct such as white, black or gray (I highly encourage white because it is hot!) and also bring an ID just in case you are asked to present one. Follow the automation instructions and report any suspicious activity.
