OPI LIQUID SAND 'THE IMPOSSIBLE' (LIMITED EDITION MARIAH CAREY) REVIEW

Whenever I think about Mariah Carey, the first thing that comes into my mind is DIVA. So its really no surprise that OPI gives her a line that's called "Liquid Sand". This is a new variant from OPI which I believe would be coming out more in their collections.

PROSTYLE FUWARIE END CURLING MIST REVIEW

I've been looking for an inexpensive heat protectant product, and luckily I stumbled upon the Prostyle Fuwarie End Curling Mist while strolling around Beauty Bar!

Korea Post #3: (Must-See Places!) Nami Island

ll be sharing about our trip to Nami Island, which is located outside of Seoul. We had to take a train (different from the subway system, sorry but I forgot the place where we took this, but its the nearest train station from Myeongdong).

MAJOLICA MAJORCA LASH and BROW COLORIST REVIEW

Having dark brows and light hair has always been a problem for me. I have always tried to put a little hair dye on my brows (which I do NOT recommend for anyone to do because this may cause severe skin irritation OR burn your skin) to lighten them up, but it hasn't worked.

ETUDE HOUSE BUBBLE HAIR COLORING IN SWEET ORANGE REVIEW

I finally tried the Sweet Orange shade of the Etude House Bubble Hair Coloring! Its a brighter shade compared to the Natural Brown, and makes your hair tons lighter.

Tonly Moly Tea Tree Seed Foam Cleanser -- HG of all Facial Cleansers!

I am officially dubbing thee Tonly Moly Tea Tree Seed Foam Cleanser as my HG of all foaming facial cleansers. Its perfect for someone with oily skin like me, and prevents those much-hated sudden break-outs.

Tony Moly's foam cleansers comes in 3 variants: Olive Seed (dry skin), Tea Tree (oily skin), and Lemon Seed (all skin types). If you want your cleanser to have a brightening effect, go for the Lemon Seed.
What Tony Moly says:

The brilliant cleansing care system brings strong vital power of fresh 3 seeds with dewy water.

Before using, remember to remove the foil sticker covering the opening. Definitely a plus because they think of hygiene!

The cleanser foams up pretty well, a small amount goes a long long way.

What I really really love about this cleanser is that it lives up to its promise--my face cleared up after just a few days' use. Even if the cleanser is specially made for oily skin, it didn't dry up my face but preserved enough moisture so my face wouldn't feel as if its become a scouring pad.

Tony Moly also doesn't lie when it says its reasonably priced! For only P178.00, the cleanser is big. I bought this about 2 months ago and I don't think I'm even halfway finished.

The Tonly Moly Tea Tree Seed Foam Cleanser is available at any Tony Moly branch or SM Department Store for only P178.00!

Tony Moly Clear Magic Lip & Eye Remover

Happy new year dear readers! I'm sorry I've been MIA for awhile, but I've been collecting so many product reviews during the holiday season.

The series of posts to follow will mostly consist of Tony Moly products, which I cannot get enough of! I swear if you let me loose in that store I am like a cheetah just zipping along getting item after item.

Below is the Tony Moly Clear Magic Lip & Eye Remover, which my mom got for me because I am always in need of this. Remember kids, always remove your make-up before going to bed! Going to bed with make-up on is a definite no-no!

What Tony Moly says:
Dual layered professional remover that effectively clears off all color point make-up without irritation to the skin
Underneath the cap is a removable plastic stopper so the solution does not spill:

When using this, you should shake the bottle first so that the dual layer comes together and effectively remove make-up.

Here's a test of its powers: (I randomly drew gel liner on my hand and wiped the center part with the remover)
This was just ONE swipe. Very effective for thin lines!

And now for the actual eye:
Here is my everyday eyeliner look--thick and volumed! (lol bad term right there)

And with just one swipe of the remover, here's your result:

The whole eye make-up gets removed!
My experience with mascara though is you have to swipe around 3-4 times to get those thick ones to go.

The Tony Moly Clear Magic Lip & Eye Remover costs P398.00 in Tony Moly SM North Edsa.

Products I am Loving Right Now: Maxi-Peel Facial Wash and Skin White Whitening Deodorant

Today I felt like doing a "fave products" post because I just felt the urge to share these two everyday products I use. I start the day by using both and they do make being hygienic a lot better!

First up is the MAXI-PEEL Facial Wash. Do NOT mistake this one for the Maxi-Peel Facial Scrub, which is not meant to be used everyday. I think the latter has a deeper green color.
What MAXI-PEEL says:
Get that blemish-free, smoother, whiter, kutis-artista skin you have always desired through MAXI-PEEL Facial Wash!
Maximum Benefits:
- Anti-bacterial: fights pimple-causing bacteria.
- Deep cleansing: removes deep-seated oil and dirt.
- Fast whitening: evens out skin complexion in 2 weeks!
- Anti-acne & Smoothening: helps dry and remove pimples, dead skin cells, whiteheads and blackheads.
- Vitamin-enriched: has Vitamins B5, B3 and E.
- Cooling: gives that lightweight, refreshing after-feel!
DIRECTIONS: Place a small amount on hand and massage gently on wet face and neck. Rinse thoroughly.
Its a pretty small tube and you can easily squeeze the product out. A little goes a very long way--I only use less than a pea-sized amount for my entire face and neck. It suds up well!

I love using this because it actually got rid of a lot of my blemishes that the tea tree oil (reviewed earlier) couldn't clear up. I also like the cool feeling it leaves after every wash. Very refreshing!^^

A deodorant I've always used for over more than a year is the Skin White Whitening Deodorant. I like the Active Cool variant because the others are too powdery for my taste.
What SkinWhite says:
The whitening expert gives you whiter, smoother underarms in just 2 weeks. All new SkinWhite Whitening Deodorant has RENEWhite 3C that promises to deliver visible whitening in 2 weeks, and Vitanourish Formula that nourishes and smoothens your underarms.
I swear by this deodorant! It really gives you smoother underarms, but I don't know how much of an authority I am on that because I've never had a problem with dark or rough ones. But my underarms have been smooth for over a year, and I can only attribute it to my lovely deodorant.

Both the Maxi-Peel Facial Wash and Skin White Whitening Deodorant are under P100, and are available in leading supermarkets or any health & beauty shop.

The Tea Tree Oil Project - Day 2

And so the Tea Tree Oil Project continues!!!

I've been applying this one ALL THE TIME--okay maybe four times today. The salesladies at The Body Shop told me I should apply it everytime I wash my face. It just so happened that I stayed in the house all day.

On to the progress:
[photos as usual will be AFTER the jump just in case your eyes are sensitive and don't want to see them pimples!]

The Tea Tree Oil Project - Day 1

I am seriously on the edge of sheer desperadoes--I have been breaking out ever since I got so stressed with school lately. And its not just the gentle break-out, its the intense RED, THROBBING HUGE pimples that came out! I have been trying everything, even tried Maxi-peel (made the pimples dry up and made me peel, but more on that next time on my real review), but they're still there.

So when I heard about the wonderful effects of The Body Shop's Tea Tree Oil, I immediately purchased some because I am really really desperate to get these pimples out!!!

What will follow this entry will be day-to-day updates on how the pimples are doing. I'm really determined to keep this project up to date because I'm sure a lot of you are also curious about Tea Tree Oil and its hopefully good effects.

What The Body Shop says:
A medicine cabinet must. A pre-blended oil which can be used in many different ways to help soothe blemished skin. Dab directly onto skin at first sign of a blemish.
I have read nothing but great reviews on this product, so I am praying that this will work for me as well.

The Body Shop's Tea Tree Oil is available at The Body Shop for only P425.
The Body Shop also has a whole line for tea tree oil, they got concealers, toners, cleansing creams, etc. They have a great promo going on that gets you a buy 1 take 1 on all their best-sellers, so go buy now!!!

Now on to the photos of my sad blemished skin so you guys can take note of the progress: [enclosed this part in a jump just in case you get too grossed out--it is pretty nasty]

Himalaya Herbals Deep Cleansing Astringent Lotion: Super Gem Find!

I finally found a great astringent that really delivers results for those days when I suddenly break out--days I absolutely hate. Here is the Himalaya Herbals Deep Cleansing Astringent Lotion and its for oily and acne-prone skin.
What Himalaya Herbals say:
Reduces oil secretion. Keeps skin oil-free. Controls acne and pimple breakouts.
Himalaya herbals deep cleansing astringent lotion has been specially formulated to reduce oil secretion and effectively control acne and pimples. It gently but effectively deep cleans the pores, removes excess oil and reduces oil secretion to keep your facial skin clean and refreshed. Citron and Lemon have strong cleansing, astringent and anti-bacterial properties, while Common Sesban reduces oil secretion and removes excess oil from the face to prevent acne, pimples and blackheads.

I've been using this for over a month now, and I have to say that it works. The first time I used it, my pimples dried up immediately. The next day, the redness was gone.

The astringent doesn't have a clear color like most astringents have. This one has a brownish murky color. It actually has a spout top but mine suddenly collapsed so I have to shake up the bottle as I put the cotton pad over it. I guess that's a drawback of this product, but that's really the only one I can think of.

I'm a super oily girl, my eyelids are oily, my face is oily, hell even my scalp is oily! So this product is an immense help for me. By the way, I'm not acne-prone, I just breakout sometimes so I'm not so sure if this works well for those with acne.
I also use the shampoo and conditioner variant of this brand and it smells really great and helps my damaged hair. Not yet on my super gem find list, but its good!

Himalaya Herbals Deep Cleansing Astringent Lotion is available at any Watson's store. I forgot how much it is but I remember its below P150.

Etude House Happy Teatime Milk Tea Cleansing Cream review

I'm having a lot of Etude House products to review because those are what I usually placed in Secret Santas, so ho-ho-ho and read ahead!

I often go to Pond's for my cleansing creams, I mean their cold creams has been their staple product for quite some time now, but if you want to go for a change, here's one product to use, Etude House's Happy Teatime Milk Tea Cleansing Cream!

A cleansing cream is used to remove your make up. Oftentimes, facial washes just don't cut it because you need a better agent to get everything off!
The cleansing cream is pretty big, contains 12ml of product!

What Etude House says:
Cleansing cream's creamy texture contains Milk protein to remove dirt and makeup while keeping skin moisturized with the pleasant fragrance of tea.
[Directions] Apply cream to all areas of the face. Massage thoroughly and wipe clean with cleansing tissues or rinse with warm water to remove excess.
What I do is I dot the cream all over my face and neck, spread it with my fingers and then I use tissue paper to remove it instead of cleansing tissues. I then follow it up with my favorite facial wash.
Its sealed for freshness (it has a plastic covering on top of the cream):

And the cream is pretty light and very easy to spread on skin.

Does it work well? YES IT DOES!^^ Here's the tissue I used to remove my foundation:

This cleansing cream also has a very nice milk tea scent! The smell isn't harsh at all. It's subtle and you won't really notice it that much.
I say this is a good good product because its affordable for such a big jar.

The Etude House Happy Teatime Milk Tea Cleansing Cream is available in any Etude House stores or SM Department stores for only P198!

SAIZEN Great Finds: Falsies and Charcoal Facial Mask!

One of my favorite stores to go gaga over has to be SAIZEN.

Its a Japanese store that has all tons of stuff for only P85 each! From kitchenware to school supplies, they have everything you can possibly imagine! So I took a trip there last weekend and was able to get 3 great things: that blue plastic container (for storage), 2 sets of falsies, and a charcoal facial mask, all for only P255.00!!!
I thought these 3 were great great finds because not only are they cheap, they're very high in quality. Here's the first item up, FALSIES!
The store offers many varieties of falsies, but these were the ones that come in 2 pairs so I gave them a shot!
How they look like on me:
They were very sturdy and I love how fancy they look! And for only P85 and 2 pairs? These are great! The falsies don't have the glue included but I prefer it that way because you're more sure that the glue isn't dried up. SAIZEN also has eyelash glue available for also P85.

And the CHARCOAL FACIAL MASK:
This also comes in a foaming facial wash and a nose pack. I chose this one because you know how much I adore facial masks! I also liked it because it had English instructions at the back and while you're at the store, they translated the ingredients in English so you can check if you're allergic to the product.
Sealed for hygienic purposes! This is great because the mask has a very liquid-y texture:
Apply this all over your face evenly and wait for the product to harden (around 10-15 mins, I waited for around 20 mins). Then peel it off and wash off the rest. You actually feel as if you're wearing a large nose strip all over your face! While this was on me, I actually felt a little pain while it was hardening but it subsided after a few minutes. I was afraid it might leave some angry harsh marks all over my face after I peeled it off but it didn't!
Beware though, you would look like a mud person while wearing this! Or, as my mom called me, a TIRE BABY. I say lock yourself up and don't show yourself to anyone while you have this on. But all joking aside, I really liked it and my pores felt really clean after I used it.

Cheap things are so great, don't you agree?
SAIZEN is located at Trinoma Mall in Quezon City, inside True Value Home Center.

Hi everyone! I know I've been MIA lately and I AM SO SORRY! Midterms were so tough, I felt like I was going to die, but now its all over so I can finally update this thing and keep you guys posted on what reviews I'll be making soon.

I'm really excited about this next batch because there are so many new things out there that I just want to try them all! Siiigh, if only money was not an option, but of course I just chose the few things that caught my eye and tried as much as possible to BUY FILIPINO!
